چکیده

This contribution discusses the measurement intervals for the frequency offset and drift measurements for the Stratum 3 and 3E clocks. Expressions are obtained for the standard deviation of the measurement error, assuming the noise generation is either White Phase Modulation or Flicker Phase Modulation. The results are used to develop proposals for the frequency drift measurement interval in Section 8.2.2 of New Draft T1.101. ************************************************************************************** NOTICE This document has been prepared to assist the Standard Committee T1-Telecommunications. It is offered to the Committee as a basis for discussion and is not a binding proposal on Lucent Technologies. The requirements presented in this document are subject to change in form and numerical value after more study. Lucent Technologies specifically reserves the right to add to, or amend, the statements contained herein.

This contribution provides some simple examples of the calculation of TDEV for discrete event models and data. These include some simple queueing systems, traffic arrival processes, and two sets of publicly-available LAN traffic data. The contribution was motivated a recent liaison from T1X1.3 to T1A1.3 requesting information on CBR traffic cell delay variation in the form of TDEV. The purpose ...

CONTRIBUTION TO T1 STANDARDS PROJECT STANDARDS PROJECT: Specification and Allocation of ISDN Performance (T1Q1-10) TITLE: Frame Delay Through ATM Switches: MIMO Latency AUTHOR:

This contribution addresses the problem of measuring frame latency in ATM switches. The frames consisting of several ATM cells may arrive with numerous gaps between cells. It is important that the gaps present in the input stream be not counted towards the switch's contribution to the frame delay. The proposed solution called "MIMO" (Message-In Message-Out) latency improves upon FILO (First-In ...
